Road-use charge next to every price, itemized on the quote
€10.50 per started day: the official daily rate (ISK 1,390 in 2026), passed on without markup or VAT, plus our processing charge including VAT (rental terms, clause 41).
BASIC + SCDW included — excess €1,000
On our website every price includes BASIC + SCDW, which lowers your excess for covered damage from €3,000 to €1,000. Optional upgrades: add Tire and Windshield Protection (TWP) for €20 a day for the cover of PLUS, or choose MAX for €40 a day: excess €0, TWP and Sand and Ash Protection (SAP) included, and wheels and tires covered too (not damage only to suspension, batteries, roof or radios). No cover option covers undercarriage or water damage.
Winter tires in season
Fitted on every car from 1 November to 14 April, at no extra charge.
Keflavík Airport shuttle
Included during opening hours (04:00–20:00): call or WhatsApp us when you have your bags and we pick you up outside the arrivals hall. Our office is about 10 minutes from the terminal.
Meet-up details confirmed before travel
Give us your flight number; after-hours pickups and returns are only on request, agreed in advance.
Documented condition record
At pickup you walk around the car and we send you our photos and 360° video. Any damage charge comes with written notice, photos and the repair estimate or invoice first (rental terms, clauses 10 and 13).
N1 fuel discount
An N1 fuel-discount tag on your keyring gives a discount when you fill up at N1 stations.

F-roads (mountain roads)
Not permitted on F-roads, Kjölur (road 35 from road 37 to road 732), Kaldidalur (550), Öxi (939), road 586 or road 864. Our terms allow them only in a four-wheel-drive vehicle (4x4, 4WD or AWD) that the booking confirms as F-road approved, and on our website only the Comfort, 4×4 Adventure and Highland 4×4 categories can be booked that way. Driving there in this car means no waiver covers the damage, and a €1,000 prohibited-road fee may apply (rental terms, clauses 16 and 40).

Rivers are entirely at your own risk — driving into or across any river, stream or ford, even on a permitted F-road, with any vehicle or cover option. No waiver covers water damage: you pay the repair, or the car's value, plus towing (rental terms, clause 17). If water covers the road, stop and wait or turn back.

Common questions about this car
Can I drive the Ring Road (Route 1) in an Everyday car?
Yes — Route 1 is fully paved. An Everyday car handles it comfortably in summer. In winter, conditions can be icy; an AWD Comfort SUV gives extra confidence, but an Everyday car is legally permitted year-round on Route 1.
Can I take an Everyday car on F-roads (mountain roads)?
No. F-roads are unpaved highland tracks, and our terms allow them only in a four-wheel-drive vehicle (4x4, 4WD or AWD) that your booking confirms as F-road approved, and only when they are officially open (rental terms, clause 16). Taking an Everyday car onto an F-road is illegal, no waiver covers the damage, and a €1,000 prohibited-road fee may apply. If you plan F-roads, choose an F-road-approved car from our Comfort, 4×4 Adventure or Highland 4×4 categories.
Is an Everyday car safe in Icelandic winter?
Every car, Everyday included, has winter tires from 1 November to 14 April at no extra charge. Everyday cars are front-wheel drive: a two-wheel-drive car on winter tires is legal on Route 1 and manages in mild weather, mainly in the southwest. From November to March we strongly recommend an AWD or 4×4 car with winter tires, and checking umferdin.is and vedur.is before you drive.

How much luggage and how many bags fit in an Everyday car?
The Toyota Aygo X takes about one suitcase and one cabin bag; the Kia Ceed wagon has a much bigger trunk. If you are traveling with more gear or large bags, a Comfort SUV or a Family & Space van will be more comfortable.
