About Ring Road Cars

Ring Road Cars was built for the Ring Road. We started with a simple frustration: too many Iceland rentals often make the hardest questions unclear: which car fits the route, what the real financial exposure is, and what evidence is used if damage is disputed.

Our answer is route-fit quoting, a total risk summary before payment, and a documented handover process. Road-use charges, card holds, exclusions, and possible later charges should be visible before you book.

Ring Road Cars is the new name of Barev ehf., an Icelandic car rental company registered in 2014. The principles are the same — local, owner-run, and built around Iceland's roads: Keflavík International Airport pickup confirmed before travel, key fees and possible later charges shown in writing, and a damage process documented on video so there's no dispute about what was there before you drove off.

Every car in our fleet is safety-checked and maintained between rentals — chosen to be dependable on Icelandic roads, from the Ring Road tarmac to gravel and highland approaches.
